National Summer Learning Association (NSLA) Highlights 3 Areas of Legislation

In 2015, the National Summer Learning Association (NSLA) tracked 172 state bills affecting summer learning.

In a newly released 2015 State of Summer Learning Policy Snapshot, NSLA highlights three areas of legislation; literacy, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and libraries.

STEM: Investments in STEM education and career development are growing across the country. Summer is recognized as an ideal time for students to explore their career interests and develop skills in STEM fields.
